§ Mr. R. MORRISONasked the Postmaster-General how many ex-service trainees are at present employed in his Department?
§ Mr. HARTSHORNThe total number of ex-service men who have been appointed to situations in the Post Office since the Armistice, excluding temporary staff, is over 38,000. A certain number of these men have subsequently left the service, but this figure could not be ascertained without making special inquiry in all parts of the country. If the hon. Member has any particular class of men in mind, I shall be happy to furnish him with more detailed information.
