asked the First Commissioner of Works if, in order to minimise the disturbance of speakers and Members during Debates, he will consider the construction of exits from the Chamber at the back of the centre gangways?

Mr. JOWETT

I regret that I am unable to adopt the hon. Member's sugges- tion, in view of the encroachment on the seating accommodation of this Chamber which would be involved.
