§ Mr. SHAWI regret that I have no exact information as to the restrictions imposed on British threatrical and music hall artists in foreign countries. The 3123W policy of my Department in administering the Aliens Restriction Order is dictated by the state of employment in the particular industry in this country. Permits are, however, not usually refused to foreign artists of established reputation for short visits.
