HC Deb 04 August 1924 vol 176 cc2538-9W
Mr. W. MARTIN

asked the Under-Secretary to the Scottish Board of Health if any Report has been received on the state of the water supply of Garscadden, Dumbartonshire; and what he proposes doing in the matter?

Mr. ADAMSON

A report on the state of the water supply at Garscadden has been received from the health officials of the local authority concerned, which states that the results of analysis have never been such as to warrant condemnation of the supply. The defective roof of the tank has been repaired, and the interior is at present being cleaned. As regards the allegation that the supply is contaminated by the adjacent surroundings, I am informed that the analyst's report does not bear out that contention.
