§ Lieut.-Colonel BUCKLEYThe agreement between the British Empire Exhibition and Mr. Wintour provides for his appointment as general manager, at a salary of £3,000 per annum. Mr. Wintour also receives, under the agreement, an allowance for entertainment and for the upkeep of a motor car, at the rate of £2,000 per annum. As regards the latter part of the question, Mr. Wintour was, before the War, director of the Exhibitions Branch of the Board of Trade, and in that capacity was responsible for the organisation and management of the British section at a number of international exhibitions.
