WOODasked the Minister of Agriculture whether he is aware that in July last year 14 days' notice to quit was served by the Liverpool Corporation upon allotment holders in respect of allotments held by the Wavertree Nook Allotments Association; that in consequence of this hasty dispossession at that period of the year the allotment holders suffered considerable loss; and that the compensation offered by the Corporation is considered inadequate by the allotment holders; and whether he will take steps with a view to settlement of the claims on a fair and reasonable basis?
§ Sir R. SANDERSOne of the Ministry's inspectors has visited Liverpool, and as a result I understand that the question of compensation to the allotment holders referred to has now been amicably settled.
