§ Mr. GOSLINGasked the Minister of Health whether he has received a petition from the London County Council for an Order confirming an improvement scheme which that authority has resolved to make under Part I of the Housing of the Working Classes Act, 1890, and the Acts amending the same, in respect of the Prusom Street area, Wapping; and, if so, whether he will, having regard to the deplorable condition of the property included in the area, deal with the matter as expeditiously as possible?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI have not yet received the petition from the London County Council. The hon. Member may, however, rest assured that when the proposal is submitted to me, every effort will be made to deal with it as expeditiously as possible.
