asked the Under Secretary of State for War if he is aware that Mr. Flannery, of Brynmawr, an old Crimean soldier, 95 years of age, has been informed that the authorities of the Royal Hospital, Chelsea, are going to deduct 6s. per week from his old age pension and 1s. 2d. per week from his Army pension from the 1st April, 1923; and, seeing the age of this veteran and

issue the necessary instructions for police officers to be abolished in His Majesty's ships and establishments?

The amended descriptions referred to in the reply given to my hon. and gallant Friend on 19th February are being included in the revised complements of the general depots which are at present in course of preparation.
