§ Mr. GWYNNE:Pension schemes of which some part of the cost would fall on the employés have been under discussion for many years. Under existing financial conditions, the Government is unable to approve any scheme which would not be entirely self-supporting, and the employés have not felt able to frame a scheme on 2120W those lines. So far as the Government is concerned, I fear the matter must rest there.
