§ Mr. ADAMSasked the President of the Board of Education whether he is aware that students who have sat for examinations in the various training colleges frequently do not know the results until after a period of from two to four months; and whether, in view of the nervous strain and anxiety thus occasioned to the young people in question, 747W whose continuing studies are likely to be hampered by such strain, steps can be taken to ensure the publication of examination results within, say, one month of the date of such examination?
§ Lord E. PERCYThe examinations which are taken by students in training colleges during their course of training are held under varying conditions, and my right hon. Friend does not think it would be reasonable to expect that the results of these examinations should in all cases be published within one month of the date of the examination. If the hon. Member will furnish my right hon. Friend with particulars of any case in which he considers there has been excessive delay, he will look into the matter.
