§ Mr. BARNESasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether he is in the position to state to the House when he proposes to consider the repeal or Amendment of Section 4 of the Industrial and Provident Societies Act?
§ Sir W. JOYNSON-HICKSThe hon. Member probably refers to the proposal to amend the provisions of Section 62 of the Friendly Societies Act, 1896, in order to bring it into line with Section 4 (1) of the Industrial Assurance Act, 1923. It is hoped to introduce a Bill to this effect in the Autumn Session.
