§ Mr. LEACHasked the Postmaster-General if his attention has been directed to the result of the test case between his Department and the Liverpool Corporation (House of Lords, 22nd June), in which it was held that Post Office wires laid in close contiguity to corporation electric cables by his Department were so laid at his Department's risk in regard to possible damage; and whether a claim for damages under precisely similar circumstances against the Bradford Corporation of £59 9s. 3d., and paid by them under protest, will now be refunded?

Friend cannot admit that the circumstances of the two cases were similar.
