GREENEasked the Postmaster-General whether he is aware of the need 263W for an increase in the number of telephone kiosks in Hackney and Stoke Newington, especially after the shops, some of which have telephones available for the public, are closed; and whether he will consider the provision of increased telephone facilities, giving a 24-hour service, both in the interests of the people and as a source of revenue to the Exchequer?
§ Sir L. WORTHINGTON-EVANSNegotiations are in progress with the borough councils concerned for suitable sites for kiosks in these districts. The kiosks will be available at all times.
