HC Deb 02 August 1923 vol 167 cc1764-5W
Mr. WILLIAM GRAHAM

asked the Minister of Labour whether he is aware that, on 10th April, 1923, a decision was given by Sheriff Orr at Edinburgh in favour of the tailors' and garment workers' trade union in their action under the Trade Boards Act against Messrs. Harrison, Brown and Dummer, Edinburgh, and that the decision was upheld on appeal; and whether he proposes to take any action to secure payment of the arrears of wages due to workers employed by this firm?

Sir M. BARLOW

I am considering the point raised by the hon. Member, butprima facie the Trade Union concerned, who undertook the expenses of the first action, should now be prepared to follow the matter up.
