§ Mr. A. BENNETTasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs if he can make any statement as to the present position of negotiations on the subject of the future of Tangier?
§ Mr. McNEILLThe informal conversations between the British, French and Spanish experts, which are not negotiations in the usual sense of the word, but are directed solely to agreeing upon a basis of discussion for a conference between representatives of the Governments concerned, have been postponed to a date provisionally fixed towards the end of next month. Until these conversations have been resumed, and their outcome is known, no statement can usefully be made.
