§ Mr. PALINGasked the Secretary for Mines if he is aware that Professor F. Hall, of Sheffield, who examined the colliery worker in the Doncaster area stated to be suffering from silicosis, reported that he was suffering from pneumokoniosis; and, seeing that pneumokoniosis is a general technical term which includes silicosis, what further steps does he propose to take in the matter?
§ Lieut.-Colonel LANE-FOXThe dust in the case referred to was of a kind unlikely to cause silicosis, and in the opinion of my Health Advisory Committee, after consideration of Professor Hall's report, the patient was not suffering from silicosis. I shall continue to give my close attention to the general question.
