asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what amounts accrued to the Treasury as a result of the duties on tea, sugar, coffee, cocoa, fruit, marmalade and jam, and various grades of condensed milk during the financial year 1922–23; and whether it is the intention and general policy of his Majesty's Government to reduce such duties as opportunity arises?
