HC Deb 12 April 1923 vol 162 c1332W
Mr. HARCOURT JOHNSTONE

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer what is the rate at which special taxes are levied on British visitors to Berlin; and whether he will consider the advisability of introducing in the coming Budget a similar tax on Germans visiting this country?

Major BOYD-CARPENTER

I am not aware of any special tax in Berlin directed against British visitors as such. As regards the second part of the question, I would ask the hon. Member to await the Budget Statement.
