The Treasury has agreed since the 30th September to give guarantees in the following cases:—

£ £ Brought forward 23,563,645 Since that date the following applications have been reduced in amount:— South Eastern & Chatham Railway Company, Limited, from £6,500,000 to £6,500,000, namely 1,000,000 Powell Duffryn Steam Coal Company, Limited, (Llantricant & Rhymncy Valley Housing Company, Limited) from £120,000 to £100,000,namely 20,000 1,020,000 and the application of the Guilford & Waldershare Colliery Company has been withdrawn, namely 300,000 1,320,000 making the total of the guarantees agreed to be given up to the present date £22,243,645
