§ Mr. WATERSONasked the Minister of Health whether, in view of the doubts as to the efficacy of vaccination which have been raised by the outbreak of small-pox which occurred in the Philippine Islands during the years 1918 and 1919, he will cause special inquiries to be made as to the circumstances attending the outbreak and as to the reasons why vaccination failed to protect the population from this outbreak?
§ Sir A. MONDI have given my hon. Friend all the data in my possession on this matter. I recognise that they are not complete and before considering the desirability of making further inquiry I propose to await the Official Report for 1921.
