§ Mr. FISHERIn Circular 1169, dated 9th July, 1920, the Board impressed upon local education authorities the importance of providing for supplementary teachers such facilities as will enable them to seek qualification as teachers under the Code, and stated that in considering the employment of supplementary teachers in an area, special regard would be given to the arrangements made in this respect. The Board have no details of the extent to which supplementary teachers have availed themselves of the facilities offered them by local education authorities.
