DAVIESasked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether British subjects returning from Canada are required to be in possession of passports and to be inspected by an aliens' officer; whether the matter of passports of British subjects returning from British Overseas Dominions has recently been under review with a view to their abolition; and, if not, whether it may be considered at an early date, to remove a constant source of irritation to British subjects on their arrival in this country?
