§ Sir A. MONDAs I stated in debate on Monday last week, no promise has ever been made on behalf of the Government to build 500,000 houses. As regards the last part of the question, I would refer to the answer which I gave on this subject on the 1st March, a copy of which I am sending to the hon. Member.
