HC Deb 21 March 1922 vol 152 c257W
Mr. MACQUISTEN

asked the Chancellor of the Exchequer whether the Entertainments Duty is being collected on all occasions, or whether certain entertainments are being exempted?

Sir R. HORNE

Entertainments Duty is payable on payments for admission, as a spectator or one of an audience, to all entertainments which are not shown to the satisfaction of the Commissioners of Customs and Excise to come within one or other of the statutory exemptions from the duty.
