§ Mr. RENDALLasked the Home Secretary whether he will consider, when drafting the Coroners Bill he has promised to introduce, the insertion therein of a Clause making the viewing of the dead body optional at the discretion of the coroner and not compulsory, as at present?
§ Mr. SHORTTI will consider the proposal to make the view by the jury optional, except in cases where the coroner considers the jury should view. There are strong reasons for requiring view by the coroner. The whole question will be carefully considered before any provision on the subject is introduced.
