Mr. ALFRED T. DAVIESasked the Minister of Health what is the position regarding the serious outbreak of diphtheria in the Metropolitan area; and whether adequate measures have been taken to meet the emergency?
§ Sir A. MONDI regret to say that there is still considerable prevalence of this disease in the Metropolis, the number of fresh cases notified during each week of the present year being over 300. This, however, represents a considerable improvement as compared with the last 1525W three months of 1921. The answer to the last part of the question is in the affirmative.
