§ Rear-Admiral SUETERasked the President of the Board of Education whether, in view of the conspicuous success of the Geddes Economy Committee, he will see his way to appoint forthwith a committee to re-organise the whole of British education on sound practical and economical lines; and whether he would consider appointing to this committee Members of this House who are experts in education and representatives of the Head Masters' Conference, Head Masters' Association, Assistant Masters' Association, and National Union of Teachers, with a business man of repute as chairman?
§ Mr. FISHERI have considered the hon. and gallant Member's suggestion, but I doubt whether the appointment of such a committee would be really helpful.
