§ Mr. BALDWINThe duties of the official referred to are to furnish advice to the Government on the larger national and imperial economy questions and, particularly, on the economic aspect of the international relations arising out of the War and the Treaties of Peace. In the exercise of his duties it has been necessary for him to spend considerable time abroad in connection with such matters as the Washington Conference and meetings of the League of Nations, and Committees of that body. The total salary and bonus payable during the current financial year is£3,218 15s., of which£218 15s. represents bonus paid before its discontinuance last summer. The post is not temporary, but will be reconsidered on a vacancy.
