MONDI have no information with regard to the wages actually paid on this scheme, but as it is a direct labour scheme, the local authority are required by the conditions of the grant to pay to the men employed, during the probationary period, a rate of wages not exceeding 75 per cent, of the local authority's rate for unskilled labour.
