BAIRDThe number of smuggling cases detected during the six months from the 1st October, 1921, to the 31st March, 1922, was 3,965, and during the six months from the 1st October, 1920, to the 31st March, 1921, was 5,057. The figure for the period from the 1st April to the 31st May is not yet available.
