WILDasked the Prime Minister whether his attention has been called to the observations of two members of the Court of Appeal upon the right of trial by jury; whether he is aware that the said right has been impaired by legislation; and if, and when, he will introduce amending legislation with a view to restoring trial by jury in civil proceedings?
§ Sir E. POLLOCKI have been asked to answer this question. The whole matter is at present under the consideration of the Supreme Court Rule Committee, and will receive the consideration of the Lord Chancellor and of myself. The subject is too extensive to permit me to deal with it exhaustively by question and answer.
