HC Deb 09 February 1922 vol 150 cc316-7W
Mr. SWAN

asked the Prime Minister if the Government's attention has been drawn to the large proportion of ex-service men among the applications for Poor Law relief who are compelled to come upon the local rates owing to their pensions being insufficient to maintain them; and if the Government has considered the desirability of granting full disability pensions to all men with a disability while they are unemployed, in view of the fact that they are doubly handicapped in an overcrowded labour market by the reason of their disability due to war service?

Mr. MACPHERSON

I have been asked to reply. I would refer my hon. Friend to the answer which I am giving to-day to the hon. Member for Abertillery (Mr. G. Barker), and of which I am sending him a copy.
