These figures exclude the troops serving in India. The present peace strength of the French Army, as budgetted for by the "projet de loi" for 1922, is 736,000, all ranks. This figure does not include those troops for the French Colonial Army, which amount to approximately 54,000.
- Regular Army, 193,000, all ranks.
- Territorial Army, 135,000, all ranks.
