HC Deb 09 February 1922 vol 150 c333W
Captain BENN

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether the Air Ministry has been requested by any fishery company to lend an airship for the purpose of searching for shoals of fish; and whether aerial observation has been used to stop poaching in the Moray Firth?

Captain GUEST

A request was made early last year for an airship patrol to locate herring shoals off the Shetland Islands, but no airship was available at the time, and since then it has been decided to suspend operating airships. I have no knowledge of aircraft being employed for the purpose referred to in the latter part of the hon. Member's question.
