GREENWOODasked the Postmaster-General the names of those chambers of commerce or associations of employers or operatives who asked for the abolition of the Sunday post; the names of similar bodies who have asked for the re-establishment of the Sunday post; and if he purposes taking any action?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINI cannot trace any request from a chamber of commerce or trades association for the abolition of the Sunday post. Since the restoration of Sunday collections in May last I have received very few representations from similar bodies in regard to the restoration of Sunday deliveries. I do not propose to take any action in the matter at present.
