Mr. CHAMBERLAINAt sub-post offices the responsibility for providing staff and accommodation for post office business rests with the sub-postmaster. The post office is usually conducted in conjunction with a private business, and, generally speaking, I have no reason to suppose that the arrangements made are not satisfactory, though in some instances it may be difficult to avoid the employment of an assistant alone at the counter.
