§ Mr. FOOTasked the Postmaster-General whether he can proceed at once with the building of the new post office at Bodmin, having regard both to the acknowledged unsuitability of the existing post office and the need of the unemployed in the borough?
Mr. CHAMBERLAINThe need for a new post office at Bodmin is recognised, and I am considering the possibility of making provision accordingly in the Estimates for 1923–4. A start cannot, however, be made with the building work until the Estimates are passed by Parliament.
