asked the Minister of Agriculture the acreage of land in Great Britain under wheat and oats in 1920, and the amount paid in compensation to farmers in 1921 in consequence of the repeal of Part I of the Agriculture Act of 1920?

The area of land in Great Britain under wheat in 1920 was 1,929,000 acres, and under oats 3.304,000 acres. The sums paid under Section 2 of the Corn Production Acts (Repeal) Act, 1921, amount approximately to £18,166,000.
