§ Major BARNSTONThe area of land in Great Britain under wheat in 1920 was 1,929,000 acres, and under oats 3.304,000 acres. The sums paid under Section 2 of the Corn Production Acts (Repeal) Act, 1921, amount approximately to £18,166,000.
