§ Sir A. WARRENasked the Home Secretary if he is aware that in the 457W instructions issued to members of the constabulary forces throughout the country it is distinctly stated that members of the force are not allowed to be members of any political or secret society, and that this is being construed as applying to registered friendly societies, and members of the constabulary are thereby being compelled to resign their membership; and, if this is so, will he issue instructions to remove this disability?
§ Mr. SHORTTI am not aware of any case where any Regulation has been misconstrued in the manner suggested; but I shall be glad to make inquiry if my hon. and gallant Friend can furnish me with any particulars.
