§ Mr. AMERYThe bulk of the frozen beef Used in the Navy is drawn from the Government controlled stocks in the hands of the Board of Trade. It is understood that these stocks have been mainly imported from South America. In all direct purchases of frozen beef or mutton by the Admiralty, it is the practice to stipulate for Australian or New Zealand meat.
