THORNEasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if the recent rise in the value of Government stocks has been accompanied by and is a sign of the fall in the cost of living whereby the purchasing power of holders of such stocks is doubly increased; and if he will invite large holders of Government stocks to voluntarily convert their stocks into stocks bearing a lower rate of interest?
