HOLBROOKasked the Chancellor of the Exchequer if he will consider a reduction of the present retail licence duties, seeing that since these rates were imposed the number of hours during which 1877W licensees are entitled to sell intoxicating liquors has been reduced by more than 50 per cent.; and whether he will make a corresponding reduction in the rate of these licence duties, in accordance with the principle sanctioned by the Finance Act, 1917?
