HC Deb 03 March 1921 vol 138 c2050W
Lieut.-Colonel J. WARD

asked the Postmaster-General whether the question of considering the units for valuing the salaries of head postmasters has been under consideration since 1913; whether he has yet decided if this class of officer is to be paid anything for their work in connection with the issue of War Savings Certificates, National Savings stamps; Income Tax stamps, Entertainment Tax stamps, Army and Navy separation and pension allowances, and the Unemployment stamps; and from what date any credit is to be given?

Mr. PEASE

The revision of the unit scale, which was suspended during the War, was carried out last year, except as regards the items mentioned; and I hope that credit for these items will be settled soon. The question of the date of applying the credit is under discussion, with the Association of Head Postmasters.
