HC Deb 03 March 1921 vol 138 cc2040-1W

asked the Home Secretary whether he has yet made inquiries into the case of Joseph Walter Wilkins, who was recently sentenced to six months' hard labour at Hastings for fraudulently obtaining unemployment donation; and whether, in view of the whole of the circumstances of the case, he will consider the possibility of remitting the remainder of the sentence?

I have made inquiry. I regret that I should not be justified in recommending interference with the sentence.
