HC Deb 21 June 1921 vol 143 c1127W
Mr. SITCH

asked the President of the Board of Education if he can see his way to consult with the appropriate Department of His Majesty's Government as to the suitability of the premises now administered by the guardians' committee of Romney Marsh, Kent, for the purposes of a school, should the need for such be found to exist, for the children of that area, and, if found adaptable to such uses, advising the Department to take steps to effect a transfer of the premises concerned to the education authority of the county named?

Mr. H. LEWIS

I have received no intimation that the Kent Local Education Authority wish to acquire the premises in question. If the Authority submit a proposal for their acquisition for school purposes, it will be considered on its merits, and I shall, of course, consult my right hon. Friend the Minister of Health.
