HC Deb 20 June 1921 vol 143 cc903-4W
Mr. SWAN

asked the Prime Minister if the Government is prepared to re- consider the recommendation of Mr. Justice Sankey's Report on the Coal Commission, issued 20th June, 1919, advising the continuation of the coal control for three years; and whether any of the recommendations in the other Reports of the Commission will be put into force by the Government?

The PRIME MINISTER

I would refer the hon. Member to the full answer given by the Lord Privy Seal on the 24th May to a question by the hon. and gallant Member for Newcastle, East (Major Barnes). I certainly could not advise the continuation, or rather the renewal, of control.
