§ Mr. RAFFANasked the Home Secretary on what date the Report of the Departmental Committee on the 24-hour measurement of time was received; whether it is still under consideration; and whether, and, if so, when, it will be published?
§ Mr. SHORTTThe Report was received in March, 1920. As I stated on the 22nd February last, in reply to a question from the Noble Lord the Member for South Battersea (Viscount Curzon), His Majesty's Government has decided not to take any steps at present for the adoption of the 24-hour system. In these circumstances, and having regard to the need for economy, it was not considered necessary to publish the Report.
