§ Mr. HOGGEasked the Chief Secretary whether he has yet considered the second Report of County Court Judge Bodkin, dated 22nd April, in which a summary is given of cases for which compensation was claimed before him for injury committed by forces of the Crown, such injuries including shooting, assault, and the burning of houses; and what steps he proposes to take to compensate the victims of such proved outrage?
§ Sir H. GREENWOODI have carefully considered the Report in question, and, for reasons which I have already given when dealing with the earlier similar Report of the learned judge, I am not prepared to accept the conclusions to which he appears to have come on wholly one-sided evidence.
