§ Mr. SHORTTIt is undesirable to disclose the information in the possession of the Government as to the precise manner in which Mr. Fox and others have been or are acting in order to prejudice the restoration of order in Ireland; but if Mr. Fox contends that he has not been so acting, and submits to me any representations in support of such a contention, I will refer them to the Advisory Committee.
