HC Deb 02 June 1921 vol 142 cc1264-5W
Sir A. HOLBROOK

asked the Minister of Transport if he has received a Resolution from the Agricultural Committee of the Hampshire County Council calling attention to the inconvenience caused by the continued closing of the Basingstoke and Alton Light Railway and urging the importance of its reopening at an early date; and whether he will reconsider his decision not to deal with the matter until March, 1922, having regard to the check given to agricultural industry in the district and the unemployment thereby created?

Mr. NEAL

The reply to the first part of the question is in the negative. As regards the second part, I am afraid I cannot add anything to previous statements on this subject.
